Quick Tip Tuesday #6 - How To Fix A Bad Kerf

On this week's "Quick Tip Tuesday," Brandon shows you his trick to fixing a kerf that you have deemed in need of "fixing".

If you're anything like me you might also have the tendency to fix something until it's broken, in which case I have used this technique to save my hang a few times in my own shop.

The kerf is one of the things we quality check our handles for (along with grain orientation, run-out, and trueness) and we have worked with our manufacturer to make the kerfs a little more uniform but if you ever get a handle you don't think you can make work because of the kerf...think again!

With this cool technique and a little bit of "trying harder" you can make 99.4% of kerfs work.

Having this tip in your back pocket will definitely start making your hangs better and better.

So, before you write an angry email to your handle supplier, make your Great Grandpa proud and try this out first!

Let us know in the comments how it worked for you!
