The SurfSkate is an amazing tool to help you progress in surfing, learn new movements, and improve the ones you are already trying to perform in the water. You can put all those other issues aside, and focus on every part of your movement - is your head looking the right way? Are your arms and shoulders helping or holding back the movement? Are you leaning and compressing enough to the movement?
