There are a lot of reasons why foraging isn't more popular in the United States in comparison to other regions of the world. In this video I give 6 reasons from my own personal experiences. It could be things like consumer culture leading us to believe that it isn't necessary. In other cases foraging is hindered by lots of various laws and legislation, especially depending upon if the land is public or private property. These can oftentimes have confusing laws or just laws that are outdated or even where the list of allowable plants is rather small and limited. Foraging wild edibles is a very important part of our history and is, in my opinion, necessary for a better balanced ecosystem and healthier lives. I'm interested to hear your guys opinions on why you think foraging isn't more popular in the United States, leave a comment down below to discuss!
