Des Ki Baat - July 30, 2021: A video of a local MLA being made to wade through waterlogged streets by angry villagers has gone viral. The MLA had visited Dholpur village in Hapur in Uttar Pradesh on a 'pad yatra' before the upcoming Assembly Elections in 2022. Villagers who were angry about the administration's inaction over water-logging in the village reportedly forced the MLA to survey the streets to understand their plight. Speaking to NDTV, the MLA Kamal Singh Malik however said that he walked in the water on his own and wasn't forced to do so. (Audio in Hindi)
