The Great Tribulation part 4, taught by Pastor Jeff Day at Bible Believer's Community Church. A teaching on "deception". Last week we left off with learning about the 144,000 virgin male Jews who are going to show up during the Great Tribulation. They are going to go throughout the entire earth preaching the gospel of the Kingdom. It must be noted that we are not under the Gospel of the Kingdom in the Church Age. We first saw the Gospel of the Kingdom being preached in the book of Matthew and as I stated before, Matthew is a "tribulation gospel" written to the Tribulation Jew. We also see it being preached in Acts 2, because the Kingdom is still being offered to the Jew. If Israel had accepted the message of the Kingdom of Heaven in Acts 2, there would never had been the Church Age and every single prophecy in the Old Testament would have been fulfilled. Acts 2 leads to confusion when you fail to compare scripture with scripture. Salvation is never mentioned in Acts 2. They get this by not understanding the dispensations of God and not "rightly dividing the word of truth." God gives us a commandment in 2 Timothy 2:15 to STUDY the scriptures. Every new English version other than the King James Bible takes out the word "study". There
is a reason for this "deception". Satan hates everything Biblical and doesn't want you to study. By studying, you may actually learn things that will help defend you against the devil. So Satan simply wants you to "work hard" or "be diligent", but whatever you do, DON'T STUDY. Cain worked hard and was very diligent about what he was doing, and God rejected his offering. By studying, we actually learn what God's expectations are. Today, people don't study and therefore, they have no clue what is expected and they will listen to ANYTHING that ANYBODY says, provided it sounds good. That will 100% of the time take you down the wrong path. When we study and submit ourselves, then we will not be ashamed according to the verse. But here is the real kicker, we will be able to "rightly divide the word of truth." The Bible has divisions. Those divisions are called dispensations. Back to our point, water baptism does not save you. Water baptism has nothing to do with you getting saved or staying lost. If you are counting on water baptism for salvation, you are lost and still in your sins. You see saved ONLY by the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Water baptism is meaningless unless you are first saved. God wants you to be baptized in water, but NOT for salvation, your salvation comes from trusting Christ to take away your sins. When you trust Jesus and His blood sacrifice, you are immediately immersed in a spiritual baptism that the Bible calls the baptism of the Holy Ghost. He wants you to get baptized in water as a public display/testimony demonstrating what took place spiritually the moment you got saved. Your old man died and was buried. You arise to new life... a new person, the old man is dead. This heresy that water baptism saves you comes from not understanding what Acts 2 is truly about. Acts 2 is Pentecost, the crowd is 100% Jews and Jewish proselytes. A proselyte would be any Gentile that converted to Judaism.
