Images from Afghanistan 'are ones we will associate with the Biden presidency'

The recent images from Afghanistan "are going to be ones we associate with the Biden presidency," says US Studies Centre CEO Simon Jackman.

"I think the really key thing, politically though, is the relatively muted criticism of the strategic decision to withdraw from Afghanistan," Mr Jackman told Sky News Australia.

It comes after the Taliban recently entered the Afghan capital of Kabul.

"I think a lot turns on how these hours, literally now, unwind – if Americans or allies and partners can't be extracted safely," he said.
