The title is a bit of hyperbole but is nonetheless mostly true. The vast majority of people should not get a Ph.D., and I explain my top 10 reasons why this is the case. This is often a question I get from students who rightfully shouldn't consider this as a career option, and now I have a video to point to when asked. The basic element of a Ph.D. is that you have to do research, and most people aren't cut out for that kind of stressful environment. And on top of that, there are many other reasons to not get a Ph.D., for which I enumerate some of them.
