NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian will meet with mayors from Sydney's LGAs of concern today after declining an online meeting last month.
The curfew will be one of the topics discussed, and also on the agenda is the mental health of residents.
Further, financial support for residents and businesses is also to be discussed.
There has also been a push within the premier's own government to re-classify the areas of concern and stop using the LGAs as a system to determine hotspot areas.
There is a suggestion to instead use suburb boundaries to determine hotspots, as some LGAs can be quite vast.
The 12 mayors have been trying to meet with the premier for a while, and last month tried to set up an online virtual meeting but the premier said she was busy.
