She lost her father in childhood. There was no godfather in the industry. While studying in college, she auditioned and got a chance to act in the serial 'Ganer Opare' directed by Rituparno Ghosh. Then she got offer of many characters for different projects because of her acting skills. The audience was fascinated by her natural acting. After overcoming many obstacles, today the name of a successful actress is Basabdatta Chatterjee.
