My Ideal Moveset for the Farron Greatsword

The Farron Greatsword is kinda cool but honestly deserved more. I took a bit of time to gather and edit animations from the Abyss watchers to make a moveset most accurate to their style. I even was able to create charged attacks out of animations that normally aren't chargable.


The moves, frame data and hitstun types have been optimized to what I think would be pretty fair in the game's PvP, but it could use more work and experimenting on actual players. I'll get back to you guys if I do that.

I could have gone further and added some sort of ember mechanic to make it even more like the boss, but the moveset is already pretty advanced and slightly convention breaking compared to most weapons in the game. It would require a lot more work if I wanted to do it in a balanced but still satisfying way. For example, I would want a way to execute the crazy chains of the Abyss watcher moveset without taking up the space of ordinary light and heavy attack chains with 1-2 hits per input.
