Gearing up for Penn State's biggest game yet, a clash between the #4 Nittany Lions and the #3 Iowa Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium.
Despite more offensive miscues and missed opportunities than fans have come to expect so far this season, Penn State’s defense continued its stellar play and more than made up for an average outing from their counterparts on the opposite side of the ball as the Nittany Lions pitched a 24-0 shutout of Indiana in the Stripe Out/Revenge Game. Now it’s on to the stiffest test of season sure to be full of them down the stretch.
As weeks of balancing football attendance with appearances at multiple Fall weddings (don’t do it, people) finally pinched Kevin Horne’s scheduling availability, the Obligatory go-to scab Keith “Goon” Conlin once again fills in admirably. Goon and Brandon have plenty of stories from their playing days of facing the Iowa crowd at Kinnick Stadium, and Kevin still manages to make a few appearances. This week’s stop on the Central Pennsylvania Tasting Trail is our host location University Wine Company, a true story of Happy Valley entrepreneurialism that began with selling wine slushies and grew over a decade to now include vineyards and a beautiful new mountainside location.
