Secessionist agitations in the Southeast have jeopardized the once peaceful environment enjoyed in the region. The arrest and detention of the self-acclaimed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra Nnamdi Kanu have led to a face-off between the federal government and IPOB.
This has resulted in mounting tension in the region with killings and attacks on facilities and people believed to be against the actualization agenda of the group.
The deteriorating security situation especially in Anambra state has created an air of uncertainty with the upcoming Governorship election scheduled to hold on November the 6th.
