Welcome to Movie Shortens. Today I am going to explain and recap a movie titled City Of Ember (2008). An underground city was built 200 years ago in the hope of saving humanity from the apocalypse. At that time, a special box was created and coded with secret plans to escape from the city. The box was only programmed to unleash the 200-year escape plan. When the holder of the box suddenly dies, it is lost, together with the plan to escape from the city. The film's main characters, Lina Mayfleet and Doon Harrow, are teenagers living in the city 200 years after it was conceived. They have just started their first job as city workers after winning the employment lottery. They are worried about the future of the city when they realize that the food supply is running low and the only generator in the city has begun to break down. Lina found a special box in the back of a dusty cupboard in her own house. Along with Doon, she battles a corrupt mayor, a tired society, and a giant mole to string clues in a box and find a way out of town.
