Try This Melodic Phrasing Lick #guitarlesson

This cool little lick is an example of how to use techniques such as slides to create a more vocal sound when using a scale shape. This lick is simply based in the key of E major, and uses our major scale box 4. Notice how the first half is a little scale run, followed by the more melodic, vocal quality using slides and vibrato. It's great fun to try and use in your own playing.
