Bone-chilling cold wave returned to the state on Saturday, with Fatehpur in Sikar district seeing the mercury dip to minus 3. 5°C and remaining the coldest place in the state this season so far. This is the second lowest minimum temperature recorded for the month in Fatehpur after January 2, 2014, when the mercury had plunged to minus 5. 2°C. Attributing the revival of the severe cold wave conditions to the vanishing of western disturbances, upper air cyclonic circulation, and active northerly winds, Jaipur Met office said the ongoing spell will continue till Wednesday and temperature will continue to take a dip.
