Is the Western Cape ready for this year’s academic cycle? The number of pupils who still find themselves without a school is quite concerning given that yesterday was officially day one of the term. Frustrated parents are still out at district offices trying to secure places for their children but this process seems like it may also take some time. Meanwhile, the province has opted to build ‘rapid schools’ in hope that this may see pupils in classrooms. eNCA senior reporter Aviwe Mtila is following up on these developments.
