HAZARD AVOIDANCE - A videogame using a 3D camera, developed for upper and lower limb rehabilitation

A video game through a 3D camera. Hazards appear on the screen in random positions (moving forward on the floor or in the sky). The main objective is for the player to overcome the hazards by raising and lowering their upper or lower limb when one of the hazards approaches them. In the upper-limb version, the player flexes the elbow joint to lift the figure; in the other version, this is done with flexion at the hip and knee joints. The game is suitable and has an effect on the active movements and coordination of the upper and lower limbs in patients with various orthopedic and neurological disorders. Its implementation enhances the balance capabilities and improves gait associated with falls prevention in the elderly. It can be applied for home.
