Louie Gohmert, a Texas congressional representative, appears on Newsmax with Natalie Harp to condemn the Green New Deal because of the harm windmills cause to birds. Louie Gohmert explains to Natalie Harp that windmills not only kill an exaggerated amount of birds but also injure them enough to the point that they land on solar deflectors which causes their guts to explode. The Majority Report crew laughs at Gohmert’s concern for birds, though it seems that he has no interest in making oil-covered birds from fossil fuels and fracking a part of the Republican agenda.

SS: We have mass extinctions mass extinction.
Emma Vigeland: This is the first time hearing about this.
SS: Asthma. We have all sorts of health impacts. We have mass extinctions in the ocean. I mentioned the other day I can't remember the acronym for it, but it is essentially there is a water flow water goes. People know that there are currents but the water also goes from shallow to deep because of a cycle that exists with the temperature of the water and the amount of salination in the water and it turns up the ocean. In a way that like almost like if you till your garden. It brings nutrients up and feeds all sorts of different species. We're on the cusp of multiple mass extinction events. We've had many many species extinct but did you know that Republicans are very concerned about well not mass extinction and not necessarily extinction and not necessarily all species, but they're really worried about the birds. Not the spotted owls we all remember how that was ridiculous yeah worried about the birds here is Louis Gohmert on with and Newsmax’s Natalie Harp.
Natalie Harp: But some of the crazy things in: it let's plant flowers on the side of the road, let's study impact collisions between animals and humans on the road. What about the windmills kill so many birds and yet they're taking us toward the Green New Deal, well in another part of that Green New Deal.
